The title is a play with a substitution of Hill on Alexander Pope's The Dunciad. The origins of the work come between Henry Fielding and Hill from a dispute. Response wrote The Hilliad claimed that Henry Fielding in the London Daily Advertiser. The publication of the Poems were involved with a dispute. Henry Fielding started in the first issue of The Covent-Garden Journal. The work is supported by a series, were written likely by Murphy. Verses and the notes praises various people as Fielding as William Boyce.
