The Neckar is a river, a major right tributary of the Rhine in Germany. The name Neckar was derived from Celtic Nikros from Neccarus and Nicarus. The 19th century were replaced by steam-powered chain boat. The river's course provides a popular route during the summer months for cyclists, are used for the cultivation of Trollinger for vineyards.
