John Edward Hopcroft is an American theoretical computer scientist, the IBM Professor of Engineering. Education received master's degree worked at Princeton University for three years. John Hopcroft is the grandson of Jacob Nist, founder of the Seattle-Tacoma Box Company was nominated by George H. W. Bush to the National Science Board. Hopcroft is the also co-recipient of the 2010 IEEE John von Neumann Medal. Members support for the profession and humanity IEEE's mission to advance technology.
