Ilton Halt was a small railway station on the Chard Branch Line, included a platform of concrete construction. The parish council has responsibility for local issues, evaluates local planning applications includes initiating also projects for repair and the maintenance. Hollow-chamfered mullioned windows having an iron-framed opening casement. C13 fragments and Some C12 restored with north aisle chapel and chancel rebuilt. Chancel has plinth, angled corner buttresses and course. Forth aisle chapel has plinth, corner buttresses with east window with a late C15 style. North aisle has tall double plinth, pairs and bay buttresses. South transept has no plinth, angled corner buttresses. Memorials include the defaced alabster effigy of a lady.
