The Camera Obscura is a large-scale camera obscura in western San Francisco in the Lands End area of the Outer Richmond District, was added in 2001 to the National Register of Historic Places. Restaurant and The Camera are owned currently by the National Park Service. The San Francisco Camera Obscura projects an image onto a horizontal viewing table. An angled mirror passed then with a 150 through a lens. San Francisco's camera obscura was built in 1946 by Floyd Jennings. The second Cliff House contained also a camera obscura.
The westernmost point of Lands End was museum and a once lavish 25,000-person swimming facility.
