The 1906 Open Championship was the 46th Open Championship. All entries played 18 holes on the two first days in pairs. The feature of the opening round was the play of the amateurs. Harry Vardon and Taylor came in the second round to fore, was out in 41, led with Graham and Vardon on 149.
